Life During Wartime

So I thought these nails looked very psychedelic, which made me think that I should have the song of the day be one of my favorite Talking Heads' songs, "Psycho Killer."  But that song always makes me want to watch the AWESOME video of "Life During Wartime" and David Byrne doing the most amazing dancing in the world.  Therefore the song of the day is "Life During Wartime."

I started out with three coats of Sinful Colors' polish Tokyo Pearl.  This is a very pearly polish so it took a lot to get it opaque.

I used the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish Brisk Blue to stamp with.

The plate I used was from the Red Angel set and it was plate RA-106.  I do really like this image but I think I would have liked these nails better with a different color combo.

Now please enjoy one of the greatest dance videos of all time.  Everytime I see this video I think of my twin brother doing the dance!

Can't Stand The Heartache

There is this song by Skid Row called, "Can't Stand the Heartache," and every time I saw these nails one of the lyrics from that song popped into my head.  Actually it's my favorite line in that song!  I would glance down and all I would hear was, "so bleeds the red, red rose!"  I know, very poetic!  Anyways...

I started out with painting everything but my ring finger on one hand and the pointer on the other with the NFU-Oh polish in 61.  I painted the other nail with the Rapid Red polish by Sally Hansen.

I love, love, love that polish.  It's so pretty in the light, I can hardly stop staring at my nails!

I then used the NFU-Oh and the red Konad special polish to stamp on each nail.  I used plate RA-107 from the Red Angel set.

I finished everything off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Now, please enjoy the sexy, sexy Sebastian Bach and "Can't Stand the Heartache."  :)

Paisley Park

Last week I ordered a couple of the Cheeky plates off of Amazon.  I will do a post about them all later this week (including the set with 29 plates), but these nails were done with one of the sets of the jumbo nail plates.  I used plate C out of the Z3 set (you can check them out here).

I love, love, love these black and white nails.  The images I used off the plate were the two paisley prints.

I first did a coat of Essie's Fill the Gap base coat.  Then I painted four of my nails black and the ring finger white.  I used the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Whirlwind White and then Sinful Color's polish, Black on Black.

I used the Konad special polishes to stamp in black and white.

These plates stamp beautifully, the jumbo set at least, they are not too deep or shallow.  They produce a nice crisp image.  They may not look it because of the photos, all I had with me was my cell phone, but in person the nails are beautiful.  I got a lot of compliments on them while Eric and I were out to dinner and a movie last night.

Well do enjoy Prince's, "Paisley Park," to go with my paisley nails!
